GRANDPARENTS’ DAY

Delhi Public World School, Noida Extension, felicitated the grandparents of students of the pre-primary and the prep wings recently. It is said that no tree can attain its expected size and stature unless it is well tended and nurtured and its roots are strong. It is like a family which has an integrated community and society as the base. One needs to take good care of the roots if the family tree is to flourish and yield healthy fruit. It is essential to dedicate a day to the senior citizens and thank them for laying the foundation of Indian society. The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by chairman Vipin Sahni, chairperson Kiran Sahni and director Dr Saiyam Sahni. Principal Jyoti Arora then welcomed the guests and addressed the gathering. Arora thanked them for their presence and contribution in weaving an integrated fabric of family unit.
