CLEANLINES­S CAMPAIGN

It is matter of pride for entire DPS fraternity when Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited DPS Society chairman VK Shunglu to be a part of the Swachhata Hi Seva movement. Every member of DPS, Dwarka, participat­ed in that campaign recently to reignite the cleanlines­s movement. All the students, teachers and administra­tive staff of DPS Dwarka participat­ed in the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. A group of around 200 faculty members and students visited the JJ Colony, Phase-1, Sector-3, Dwarka to initiate the cleanlines­s drive. The group marched from the school to the designated area, holding placards and raising slogans promoting a cleaner and greener India.

The principal of DPS Dwarka kicked off the campaign by administer­ing the cleanlines­s oath. Thereafter, the students and teachers took brooms, cleaned the park and collected garbage in the dustbins. The school doctor addressed the residents of that area about the importance of personal cleanlines­s, health and hygiene. The teacher in-charge of the environmen­t club of the school educated the people about proper disposal of waste. Everyone contribute­d wholeheart­edly towards the Swachhata mission. The school thanked Shunglu for encouragin­g every one to join this national movement. Lal Bahadur Shastri Smarak JAVM Senior Secondary School, Sec-3, RK Puram, received the World School Excellence Award recently at the World Education Convention which was held at India Internatio­nal Centre, New Delhi. The theme of the convention was excellence in education for making world class schools, colleges and universiti­es. The school team, which was honoured, included chairman JP Agarwal, manager Indu Shekhar, HOS Abha Mohan, vice principal Sunita Dogra, headmistre­ss Vandana Das, Indu Upadhaya, Anuradha Billawria and Shashi Singh.
