MCDS issue 128 challans for flouting construction ban

NEWDELHI: The municipal corporations of Delhi issued 128 challans to government agencies and private builders in the national capital for violating the ban on construction activities imposed by the Environment Pollution (Prevention &Control) Committee (EPCA) to control pollution.

The East Delhi Municipal Corporation issued 46 challans to defaulters, i ncluding Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, National Highway Authority of India and ISBT Anand Vihar. The North Delhi Municipal Corporation challaned 48 violators, while the South Delhi Municipal Corporation challaned 34 private buildings.
