Ileague: Gokulam, Chennai City share spoils in Kochi
KOCHI: Gokulam Kerala FC drew 1-1 with Chennai City FC in a match that saw the I-league return to Kerala after a near fiveyear long absence. Kamo Bayi gave the hosts the lead in the 22nd minute but their joy at taking the lead was short lived as Jean-michel Joachim equalized for the visitors just 6 minutes later.
The game was a back-andforth affair that saw both sides look to score but the points were eventually shared by the two sides in the Southern Derby.
The game was a decent comeback for the two teams, both of whom suffered losses in their opening I-league games.
ARROWS FACE MINERVA
BAMBOLIM: After overcoming Chennai City FC challenge with a convincing 3-0 win, the AIFF development side Indian Arrows will be in action for the second time in Goa in their I-league campaign when they face Minerva Punjab FC here on Tuesday.
The Arrows are making their debut in the I-league and have got the right start by beating Chennai City comfortably. Aniket Yadhav was the star for the Arrows as his double strike ensured them full points from their first home match here.
INDIA FINISH SEVENTH
CHENNAI: India finished seventh overall in the Wsf-world men’s team squash championship in Marseille, France. India defeated Scotland 2-1 in the 7th-8th place match, on Sunday.

The team was without Saurav Ghosal but that did not lessen India’s chance. Harinder and Mahesh proved that after Vikram Malhotra had lost the first match.
