‘DON’T ASK FOREIGNERS FOR SELFIES’
NEW DELHI: Tourism minister Alphons Kannanthanam on Thursday said requesting selfies with foreigners was an intrusion of their privacy. “It’s not a right thing to do, why don’t you leave the tourists alone, why are we so obsessed with white skin. It’s an intrusion into their privacy,” he said while addressing the CII annual tourism summit — International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development — here. On recent attacks on foreign tourists, the minister said some of them were triggered after locals insisted on having selfies with them.
