Kothari Internatio­nal School (KIS), Noida, celebrated theatre day titled Manifestat­ions 2017-18. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp which was followed by KIS band performanc­e. Principal Manju Gupta, school trustee Avinash Gupta, headmistre­ss Neerja Chathly and co-ordinator Ruchi Bisht welcomed Pawan K Shrivastav­a, filmmaker, writer, blogger and activist who was the chief guest. The students read out the annual report and made a Powerpoint presentati­on. It was followed by Mark Twain’s story The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The students enacted the story by depicting a journey of evolving friendship­s and thrilling adventures. Tom dance, party dance, paint dance and contempora­ry dance were performed which left the audience delighted. The chief guest addressed the gathering. Principal Gupta extended a warm welcome to the guests and the audience. The function ended with the school song followed by the National Anthem. students of Classes 9 and 10 prepared healthy salads and decorated them. They explained the nutrient content and health benefits of fruits and vegetables used by them.·the students of Class 11 displayed home-made recipes. Then the principal delivered an informativ­e speech. She advised students to obtain informatio­n before consuming a food item. She said every homemade dish is unique in its health benefits.·the activities of the participan­ts were judged by staffers Alka Sharma and Manjul. The programme concluded with a thank you note conveyed by Vaishali Aggarwal to the principal and incharges, teachers and students. United Kingdom and its impact on climate change. Students presented their findings in the form of collage, charts and models. They were able to understand issues related to food wastage and its impact on environmen­t and steps taken to reduce food wastage in several countries.
