Gurugram student bags 2nd rank in ISCE exams
GURUGRAM: Students of Gurugram outperformed others in DelhiNCR and Haryana in the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) Class 10 and 12 exams, results of which were declared on Monday.
Antra Kapoor, a student of Shri Ram School, Moulsari, DLFPhase 3, secured 99.25% (commerce) bagging the all-india second rank and the first in DelhiNCR.
Jivansh Kakkar scored 98.8% and are Delhi-ncr Class 10 topper from the same school while Manavi Kumar, a Class 10 stu- dent of the Shri Ram School, Aravali, also made her school and teachers proud by scoring 99.8%.
Kapoor, a Delhi resident, said she was surprised when she received a call from her school informing about her securing second rank . An adventurous person active on social media, Kapoor wants to pursue business studies either from Hong Kong or Singapore university.
The school teachers described Kapoor as a sincere girl, smiling with a positive approach towards life and open to challenges. “We were confident and knew she will outshine... we had high hopes from her,” said Manisha Malhotra, school principal.
Kakkar secured 100/100 in mathematics, music and social studies, and 97 in English, science and Hindi. Kakkar said he was not expecting to be a topper but was hopeful of a good result. He has taken admission in Modern School, Barakhambha Road and wants to become a doctor.
Apart from commerce, Sanjana Hira and Tanushree Pendharkar, both bagged 99% in humanities. Both are ranked third all India and second in DelHI-NCR.
All rounders, excellent performers, focused and dedicated were the words used for both humanities toppers by their teachers.
