7 twowheelers stolen from city, police investigate

GURUGRAM: Seven two-wheelers, together worth ₹4 lakh, were stolen in five different instances from different parts of the city on Friday and Saturday. In all cases, the vehicles were parked in unauthorised spaces.

In the first instance, two motorcycles were stolen from outside the Baani Square shopping mall. Complainant Pramod Kumar, a resident of Mehrauli, said his Hero Honda Splendor motorcycle and that of another man were stolen.

Kumar said that since there was no authorised parking , he parked his vehicle in a space where many other vehicles had also been parked. “I parked my bike around 2.30pm and went for a meeting , when I returned after 30 minutes, it was gone. There was another man whose bike was stolen from the spot so we registered a complaint,” he said. On the basis of the size of the pool, there should be restrictions on the number of swimmers at a given time and someone has to not only ensure this, but also write down the name of every person entering the pool and there should be adequate number of lifeguards.

It is also essential to separate the deep end of the pool from the shallow end with a net.

I also notice that there is no fencing of the pool to prevent children from accidentally falling into the pool while playing in the area. Last summer, fouryear-old Manbir Singh Banwayat drowned in Hyde Park hous-
