AUD extends deadline for vocational courses to July 5
LAST DATE FOR APPLYING TO BA (HONS) WAS ORIGINALLY SATURDAY, BUT THIS WAS ALSO EXTENDED TO JULY 5
NEWDELHI: Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) said on Saturday it has extended the last date for submission of applications for three Bvoc programmes to July 5, from June 23. The last date for applying to four new BA programmes at Karampura campus and seven BA (Hons) programmes at Kashmere Gate is also July 5.
AUD offers three Bvoc programmes in tourism and hospitality, retail management, and early childhood centre management and entrepreneurship at their Karampura campus, with 32 seats each. The last date of application for these programmes was originally set to be June 23.
“We extended the date of application for these programmes to July 5, to bring the last date for all undergraduate programmes at par,” AUD spokesperson Anshu Singh said.
The admission to Bvoc programmes is based on an aptitude test and interview. The dates for these will also be extended, but a final date is “still being finalised and will be communicated soon,” according to Singh.
The last date for applying to BA (hons) programmes offered at AUD’S Kashmere Gate campus was originally supposed to be Saturday, but this was extended to July 5.
AUD had introduced four new BA programmes at their Karampura campus, and the last date to apply to these was decided to be July 5.
Singh had earlier said they had extended the dates for the Kashmere Gate BA courses, to bring it at par with these.
The admissions to all BA programmes are based on cutoffs, and the first cutoff is expected on July 9. As a state university, it reserves 85% of its seats for Delhi students, and issues two cutoffs for Delhi and outside Delhi students.
