NEWDELHI: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by four men, including her landlord’s son, in east Delhi’s Kalyanpuri on Saturday.

Police said the teenager, a student of class 10, alleged the men were in an inebriated state. All four accused have been arrested, the police said.

According to the police, the alleged incident took place when the son of the girl’s landlord Amit Kumar (26), who also often used to drop the girl to school, lured her to a flat by promising to take her out for a pizza treat.

An officer, not authorised to speak to the media, said the minor allegedly agreed to go with him after which the man took her to a flat in East Vinod Nagar where three other men, later identified as Kishan Negi (42), Pankaj Mehta (40) and Raju (20) were present.

“In her complaint, the girl said that after some time, the four men started misbehaving with her. She alleged that when she asked them to let her go, they began touching her inappropriately and when she tried to resist and cried for help, they overpowered her and took turns to rape her. Her complaint adds that it was after the incident that the men dropped her at some distance from the flat and threatened her not to reveal the matter to her family members or approach the police,” the officer said.

He said the girl rushed back home and narrated her ordeal to her parents who then called the police.

“Her statement was recorded and a case of gangrape was registered. She was taken for a medical examination and when sexual assault was confirmed, the four men were arrested,” the officer said.

Deputy commissioner of police (east) Pankaj Kumar Singh said a case of gangrape and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act were levied. The matter is further being probed, the DCP said.
