Shehbaz Sharif’s remand extended by 14 days

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s anti-corruption watchdog was on Tuesday granted a 14-day extension in the remand of Leader of Opposition Shehbaz Sharif in connection with anti-corruption case. The PML-N president appeared in the anti-corruption court after his physical remand expired. He is accused of ordering the cancellati­on of a contract given to a successful bidder, Chaudhry Latif and Sons, for the Ashiana Housing Scheme, and engineerin­g the award of the deal to Lahore Casa Developers, a proxy group of Paragon City Pvt Ltd.
