High court upholds disqualification of rebel AIADMK MLAS

CHENNAI: In a shot in the arm for the Edappadi Palaniswami-led AIADMK government, Madras high court on Thursday upheld the disqualification of 18 rebel MLAS owing allegiance to Sasikala’s nephew TTV Dhinakaran, leader of the Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam that he founded after former chief minister J Jayalalithaa’s death. Sasikala was a long-time companion of the former CM.
