SINDHU RISES TO WORLD NO 2

NEW DELHI: PV Sindhu rose a spot in the latest rankings released on Thursday to equal her career-best of No.2 in the world. She was last No.2 in November 2017. Compatriot Saina Nehwal also jumped a spot to be No.9 in women’s singles. Kidambi Srikanth, however, remained static at No.6 in men’s singles.

HS Prannoy (17) and Sameer Verma (18) were the two other Indian players to be in the top 20 of men’s singles.

There are no Indians in the top-10 of men’s, women’s or mixed doubles rankings.
