NEWDELHI: Delhi police on Friday arrested two men and apprehended a 15-year-old boy for allegedly threatening two students with a gun outside a private school in west Delhi’s Vikaspuri on Thursday afternoon.

Police said that the boy had roped in two of his father’s employee’s to threaten the two students because he sought revenge for a quarrel that had happened between them some days ago during a picnic.

The men and the boy had arrived outside the school on Friday to settle scores. But the school authorities alerted the police after which the two men were arrested and the boy apprehended, said Monika Bhardwaj, DCP (west).

The trio have been booked under the Arms Act. “They are seen brandishing a weapon in a CCTV footage. The suspects have claimed that it was a toy gun. We are yet to recover it,” said the DCP.

The apprehended boy is a Class 10 student at the same private school. The two boys ,who were threatened, are 17-year-olds and study in Class 12 of the same school. “Earlier this week, they were attending a picnic organised by the school. The boys had quarrelled there over a trivial issue,” said DCP Bhardwaj, not elaborating on what the issue was.

“The 15-year-old boy returned home and shared the incident with his jeweller father’s two employees. One of those employees has earlier been arrested in a murder case registered in northeast Delhi’s New Usmanpur,” said the DCP.

The DCP suspected that the boy asked the two employees to seek revenge for him. “On Thursday afternoon, the trio confronted the two older boys outside the school gate after classes,” said the DCP.
