DAY 2 SCORES

-

JAIPUR: Jammu & Kashmir pacer Md Mudhasir took four wickets in as many balls but wicketkeeper batsman Chetan Bist’s 159 helped Rajasthan post 379 in their Elite Group C Ranji Trophy game here on Friday. After Bist’s heroics with the bat, Rajasthan bowlers reduced J&K to 186/7 at stumps on day 2, with the visitors trailing by 193 runs. Rajasthan began the second day from 300/3 but slumped to 379 all out courtesy a stunning hat-trick by 30-year-old pacer Mudhasir, who returned with 5/90.

In New Delhi, Siddhesh Lad fell one run short of a century but Shivam Dubey scored a quick 114 to help Mumbai score 411 in the first innings of their Group A match against Railways at the Karnail Stadium. At stumps on Day 2, Railways were on 115/6.

Lad was dismissed in the eighth over of the morning session but Dubey didn’t allow Railways to build on the momentum as he blazed 114. In the process, he also stitched a vital 56-run seventh-wicket stand with Dhawal Kulkarni who scored 22.
