POLICE THRASHES KUSHWAHA SAMAJ PROTESTERS

PATNA: Police resorted to baton charge on members of Kushwaha community while they were protesting against chief minister Nitish Kumar’s remark, allegedly directed at Rashtriya Lok Samata Party president and Union minister Upendra Kushwaha. Venting their ire against the purported ‘neech’ remark, participants in the ‘Akrosh March’, organised under the banner of Samast Kushwaha Samaj, raised slogans against the CM, maintaining that the reference was not only an insult hurled at Kushwaha but had also offended the community.
