ama Prasad Mukherjee College, University Delhi; Padmaja, Joint Secretary in the Foreign Ministry and Deputy General at the ICCR and Mihir Kumar Jha, Assistant Professor of History at ARSD College, University of Delhi were welcomed by the Principal Surabhi Dua. Punya Prasun Bajpai, an eminent personalit­y in the field of electronic and print media was the Chief Guest. The participan­ts showed a keen knowledge of the topics and exhibited their debating prowess skillfully. In English, St Thomas School, Mandir Marg won the Running Trophy while In Hindi, K.I.IT World School, Pitampura lifted the Trophy.

Somerville School, Vasundhara Enclave,

held its Annual Day, ‘Chrysalis 2018’ at the Siri Fort Auditorium showcasing the talent of over six hundred students. The occasion was graced by the members of the Board of Management; Mary George, President of the Lott Carey Baptist Mission in India, Thomas T. Roy, the Secretary/ Treasurer of the LCBM in India, D.A. Tressler, the Chairperso­n and Director, Somerville Schools, Abraham Mathew, the Manager of the school, members of the Managing Committee and parents. The programme commenced with a prayer followed by a melodious presentati­on ‘Swaranjali’. The school felicitate­d the staff members who had completed 25 years of service. The highlight of the evening was `Fiddler on the Roof’, an acclaimed musical. Vote of thanks was proposed by Principal Esther Mani.
