POETRY RECITATION COMPETITION
Guru Tegh Bahadur 3rd Centenary Public School, Mansarover Garden, organised the 17th annual S. Mahan Singh Memorial Inter-school Poetry Recitation Competition.
Every year this competition is held in memory of founder chairman S Mahan Singh. Sixteen public schools of West Delhi participated in the competition with enthusiasm. The programme began by paying floral tribute to the founder chairman. The lamp was lit by director Dr Surjeet Kohli, junior school principal Manbeen Kaur, officiating principal Jaspritma Kaur and other dignitaries. Under the guidance of the principal, the Little Shining Stars of the junior school put up a skit on the importance of girl education and enthralled the audience. After that the tiny tots in colorful costumes with props impressed everyone with their performance.
The judges of the contest were senior NIE consultant Anu Singh and Harshita Sharma, an executive with HT. The participants recited poems based on the themes of Clean Environment, A Child’s World, My Country India or A Humorous Poem. The prize winners were Indraprastha World School, Sheila Kids Zone, Guru Tegh Bahadur
3rd Centenary Public School, Springdales School and Bal Bharti
Public School. The Rolling Trophy for the best team was bagged by Indraprastha World School, Paschim Vihar.
