Explosion at Indian power plant in Nepal
KATHMANDU: An unidentified group detonated three improvised explosive devices at the powerhouse of under construction Arun III Hydropower Project in Sankhuwasabha district in eastern Nepal on Thursday. The project is the country’s biggest hydro-electric plant that is being built jointly by India and Nepal. Police said three IEDS exploded on Thursday night, though no one was hurt since workers had left. Indian embassy official confirmed the blast, saying it was yet to be established who planted bomb.
