SHIL­LONG: The Cen­tral Bureau of In­ves­ti­ga­tion (CBI) ques­tioned Kolkata Po­lice com­mis­sioner Ra­jeev Ku­mar for the sec­ond day in Shil­long on Sun­day in con­nec­tion with the Saradha chit fund scam, an of­fi­cial of the agency said.

CBI is prob­ing al­le­ga­tions against Ku­mar re­lat­ing to the chit fund scam in which at least two mil­lion people were cheated out of their sav­ings.

Po­lice said five people have been named in the FIR over the killing. Apart from Roy and those ar­rested – Kar­tik Mon­dal and Sujit Mon­dal – two people named Ab­hi­jit Pun­dari and Kali­pada Malda have also been ac­cused in the case.
