2 held for shooting at police officer
NEWDELHI: Two men who had shot at a Delhi police officer on Thursday while trying to rob him in Kotawali were arrested on Sunday. Police said the duo had mistaken the cop for a civilian.
The two men were identified as Mohammad Riaz (34), who has 19 criminal cases against him, and his associate Arman Farhaz (30) from Baradari Ballimaran who is involved in five crime cases.
On Thursday, ASI Vedi Ram, was returning home in Seelampur after duty at Hazrat Nizamuddin police station, when he was intercepted by the two men on a motorcycle who tried to rob him.
