Protect our farmers

This refers to Mark Tully’s The road to atmanirbharta may go through GM seeds (November 6). All efforts must be made by the government to improve the incomes of farmers, the backbone of the economy. If that involves introducing genetically modified crops, so be it — but only after ensuring that there are no health risks from these crops.
