KHARGE EXPANDS HIS OFFICE WITH 4 COORDINATORS
NEW DELHI: Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday appointed four coordinators to his office, a party release said, adding that their responsibilities will be “assigned as required”.
Party functionaries aware of the matter said the four coordinators are expected to handle specific tasks and travel to different states as required.
According to the party’s communique, the four coordinators are Rajya Sabha MP Syed Nasir Hussain, AICC secretary Pranav Jha, Former Rajya Sabha TV CEO Gurdeep Singh Sappal and national coordinator for digital communications Gaurav Pandhi.
“Their responsibilities will be assigned as required,” the communique said.
A functionary said, “...While one of the leaders might be looking at communication, someone may help Kharge on organisational issues or policy matters. While the appointment of the four coordinators is largely an exercise to build the new office of the Congress president, the upcoming AICC meeting would pave the way for the new party organisation under Kharge.”
