Cops take Aaftab to Gurugram, human bone fragments found
NEW DELHI: The police team investigating the Shraddha Walkar case recovered some bones from a forested area in Gurugram to which they were led by her boyfriend Aaftab Amin Poonawala, who has been arrested for allegedly killing her, widening the search operation beyond Delhi and asserting their claims made before a Delhi court on Thursday that he was “misleading” and “not cooperating” during interrogation.
The team scanned the forest and found some bones were lying under bushes. A forensic expert assisted the team in collecting the bones, an official investigating the case said on condition of anonymity.
The officer clarified that while the bones appear to be those of a human, they did not include a skull. “Our teams are... trying to recover the skull,” the officer added. “The DNA profiling of all the recovered bones will be done,” the officer said.
