MCD POLLS: BJP SAYS CANDIDATE BEATEN UP BY AAP NOMINEE

NEW DELHI: The BJP on Saturday alleged that one of its candidate for the upcoming municipal corporation elections and his son were assaulted by an AAP nominee during a television debate on the polls. Bipin Bihari Singh, the candidate for the Mayur Vihar ward, has claimed he and his son were attacked by rival AAP candidate Devender Singh and his supporters. Police said both parties have filed cross-firs. “No visible injuries occurred to either parties. Both are in police station and alleging against each other...,” an officer said.

The AAP did not respond to requests for a comment.
