Australia clinch ODI series vs England
SYDNEY: Steve Smith scored 94 runs and Mitchell Starc took 4/47 to lead Australia to a 72-run victory on Saturday over England to clinch the three-match one-day international series in consecutive games. On the same day Josh Hazlewood became Australia’s 28th ODI captain filling in for the rested Pat Cummins, Smith’s total from 114 balls helped to set up Australia’s 280/8 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Starc then struck twice in the first over of England’s innings as the visitors were out for 208.
