Ronaldo to leave Manchester Utd

LONDON: Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo have agreed to terminate his contract, a club statement said. The move comes close on the heels of a controversial interview given by the Portuguese star in which he accused the club of “betrayal” and criticised manager Eric ten Hag.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect. The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford... and wishes him and his family well.”
