ON SUNDAY, 100,000 WORKERS OF THE PARTY WILL REACH OUT TO MORE THAN 10 MILLION VOTERS FROM 8AM TO 10PM IN DELHI

NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday said it will hold a major outreach campaign led by 10 central leaders of the saffron party, including Anurag Thakur, Dharmendra Pradhan, Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, on Sunday, in the run-up to the municipal election scheduled to be held on December 4.

Party workers aware of the matter said that Sunday was chosen for the campaign as a large number of voters would be off from work on the weekend.

“The BJP is going to run a massive public relations campaign for the municipal election on November 27, during which 100,000 workers of the party will reach out to more than 10 million voters in Delhi,” Delhi BJP chief Adesh Gupta said, adding that central leaders, including the chief ministers, MPS and MLAS of several states, will participate in this campaign.

Gupta said that party workers aim to reach out to every household in Delhi. “This programme will run from 8am to 10pm. The preparations are almost complete. The campaign is taking place in a very organised manner and the public is supporting all our candidates. Now the party is emphasising on corner meetings and direct public relations,” said Gupta.
