Woman murdered in Delhi, husband found dead in Haryana the same day

NEW DELHI: A 33-year-old woman was found murdered at her home in outer north Delhi’s Bawana area on Wednesday, police said.

Police suspect she was killed by her husband, who was found dead, allegedly by suicide, in Haryana’s Sonepat the same day.

A senior police officer said that the police control room received a call on Wednesday by an as yet unidentified person, informing them that a woman had been murdered. When police reached the spot, a house the couple had rented, they found the woman dead with her throat slit.

“Her husband was the prime suspect as we were informed that both of them were spotted together by the neighbours in the morning. However, the husband was later found dead by suicide in Sonepat,” the officer said. He did not elaborate on who found the husband’s body or informed the police.

Police said that they are investigating the matter.
