HC SAYS DENIAL OF CASTE PAPERS DISCRIMINATORY

NEW DELHI: The high court on Wednesday observed that the denial of caste certificate to the wards of a single mother from the Other Backward Classes category is “discriminatory”. Justice Yashwant Varma also took exception to Delhi government’s stand that they are awaiting the union government’s clarification on the issue. “You have the power to recognise any particular class. The denial of such a facility is discriminatory.”
