NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday initiated its jansamvad (public meeting) campaign, with deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia leading the campaign in the municipal wards of Kalkaji, Sangam Vihar and Tughlakabad. “AAP councillors will work for the public and focus on cleanliness and sanitation, whereas if a BJP councillor is elected then he will only focus on stopping the development works,” Sisodia said, adding that in the past 15 years, BJP has converted Delhi into a dumpyard.

“Cleanliness in Delhi was the core responsibility of MCD but they failed terribly.”

Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor hit back saying Sisodia’s statement leaves no doubt that during the last 8 years the AAP government did support the MCDS at all.
