CM: CARRY OUT TESTING TO OPTIMUM CAPACITY

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday expressed satisfacti­on over the conducting of 1.2 crore Covid-19 tests in the state up till now and said testing should be carried out to the optimum capacity.

He said effective arrangemen­ts should be made for treatment of patients, taking all the precaution­s, and a strict vigil be maintained at every level to break the chain of Covid-19.

Yogi was reviewing the unlock-5 situation at a meeting here.

He said virtual ICUs should be run for L-3 Covid hospitals from the SGPGI and for L-2 Covid hospitals from KGMU in Lucknow. He said with this arrangemen­t, senior doctors of these medical institutes may be consulted for treatment of Covid-19 patients admitted to Covid hospitals.

The chief minister said integrated command and control centres should be active and added that measures to check spread of Covid-19 should be extensivel­y publicized. He said public address systems should be used at prominent public places besides making use of other means of publicity.

He said anti-larva chemicals should be sprayed, along with carrying out cleaning and sanitizati­on work, in all the areas of the state under the cleaning and sanitizati­on campaign. He said this campaign should be closely monitored to ensure results at the ground level.

Yogi directed that arrangemen­ts be made for smooth supply of power keeping in view the forthcomin­g festival season. He said action should be taken to keep the prices of pulses and vegetables under control and supply of essential commoditie­s smooth and also at reasonable prices.
