The chief minister said that the world observes October 15 as Global Handwashing Day and the state’s Information department worked well to spread awareness and also connected various departments such as technical education, vocational education, and skill development departments with it.
He hoped that every citizen would join the campaign and make cleanliness and hygiene an integral part of the daily routine. “Hygiene and hand-washing can play a very important role in breaking the chain of the Coronavirus infection,” he said.
The press statement said that all 75 districts of the state organised hand-washing campaigns from 10 am to noon. Among those present at the inauguration was the state health minister Jai Pratap Singh.
