‘Partition wouldn’t have happened if Netaji would have been there’
Senior RSS functionary Indresh Kumar on Wednesday said that had Neta Ji Subhash Chandra Bose been there, the country would not have suffered the pain of partition.
Kumar was speaking in a discussion on ‘Azad Hind Government: Contribution, policies and work’ organised at Subhash Bhavan in Indresh Nagar, Lamahi to mark the 77th anniversary of Azad Hind Government. A non-government organisation Vishal Bharat Sansthan organised the discussion.
“The Akhand Bharat was the philosophy of Netaji. He knew that the British could divide the country at the time of their departure from India. In this regard he also alerted Mahatma Gandhi. But the absence of Subhash, who responded to the British diplomacy, created an atmosphere of division. At that time, except Subhash, there was no leader on whom Hindus and Muslims trusted equally. contribution of Azad Hind government to Independence will continue to be an inspiration for thousands of years. Had Neta Ji been there, the country would not have suffered the pain of partition. ,” said Kumar.
Subhashist ideologue Tapan Kumar Ghosh said that the Azad Hind government not only paved the way for the independence of Akhand Bharat but also drew a plan of the development plans for post-independence India.
“From the Five-Year Plan to Hindi as the national language were the plans of Subhash Government. He gave ‘Jai Hind’ slogan which acted as a mantra of Unity. Historian Rajiv Srivastava, president of Vishal Bharat Sansthan, said that ‘every Subhashist wanted independence of Akhand Bharat (Undivided India). No one had thought about partition even in a dream. But division happened due to Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru and Jinnah’s hunger for power.
