21 more succumb to Covid, 1,814 fresh cases in state

LUCKNOW : Uttar Pradesh registered 1,814 fresh cases of Covid-19 in a day which took the infection tally in the state to 4,72,077 on Monday, while the death toll rose to 6,902 with 21 more people succumbing to the disease during the same period, as per health department’s data.

Lucknow reported five deaths, Meerut and Varanasi two each.

The state capital logged 257 fresh cases, Kanpur 50, Prayagraj 100, Gorakhpur 38, Ghaziabad 88, Gautam Buddh Nagar 120, Meerut 86, Agra 18 and Varanasi 117.

During the day, 48 patients opted for home isolation, taking the total number of patients who opted for home isolation to 45,967. Of these, 43,779 had recovered. Samples of 4,308 people were taken under the contact-tracing exercise.

Fresh cases were reported from Indira Nagar 19, Gomti Nagar 22, Rae Bareli road 26, Madiaon 15, Hazratganj 12, Talkatora 20, Alambagh 12, Gudamba 10, Chowk 18, Jankipuram

15, Aliganj 19, Vikas Nagar 11 and Ashiana 15. “Lucknow has reported 62,060 cases till now. Of these 57,783 patients had been discharged while 862 died. The recovery rate in Lucknow is 93.10%,” said Dr Abhishek Shukla, secretary general, Associatio­n of Internatio­nal Doctors.

So far, the state had tested 1,41,38,340 Covid samples, including 1,12,650 in the past 24 hours.

PGI takes feedback from patients

The SGPGI took feedback from patients at the Rajdhani Covid hospital. In all, 88 feedback forms were received, wherein 56% patients rated the services as excellent, 32% found the services good, 11.2% patients said their experience was satisfacto­ry and 0.8% rated the services as dissatisfa­ctory.
