THREE HELD FOR DUPING PEOPLE WITH FAKE NOTES

Three persons were arrested for duping people using counterfeit currency in Lucknow and nearby districts on Wednesday, police said.

Counterfeit currency, eight mobile phones and an SUV which the accused used to deliver fake currency were recovered from their possession, police said. ACP South Archana (goes by one name) said, “The members of the racket first use to take some money from gullible people with a promise to double the amount in few weeks. At the time of returning the money they used to mix counterfeit notes with original ones.”

The accused were identified as Ajit Maurya, his brother Anil Maurya and their friend Bhaukali.
