Rajnath Singh inaugurates 176 dev projects in Lucknow
LUCKNOW: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh virtually inaugurated 176 development projects worth Rs 51 crore, on Wednesday. Calling state capital as one of the fastest developing cities, the defence minister said these developmental works aimed at giving an infrastructural boost to the city and provide basic amenities to the city folks.
“Rs51 crores has been sanctioned for 176 new developmental projects which are beginning today. With these developmental works, Lucknow will get rid of water-logged roads and convideo nectivity thus providing better amenities to the people here,” said Rajnath Singh, while inaugurating the projects through conferencing at the programme here on Wednesday.
Singh said that basic infrastructure is of utmost importance to the city. “The size and scale of these projects may not be that big but, their importance is cannot be ignored,” he added.
Other than these projects, he said many other big projects are underway in Lucknow, which is also his parliamentary constituency. He said it would be ensured, that apart from the vast infrastructure, the small or basic infrastructure should also be there. City mayor Sayukta Bhatia was also present on the occasion.
OTHER THAN THESE PROJECTS, HE SAID MANY OTHER BIG PROJECTS ARE UNDERWAY IN LUCKNOW, WHICH IS ALSO HIS PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUENCY
