PRINCIPAL SP SINGH SAID ALL STUDENTS HAD BEEN ASKED TO DOWNLOAD THE AROGYA SETU APP.

The Moti Lal Nehru Medical College (MLNMC) campus will be abuzz again from November 2, as students return to it after seven months.

According to a state government order and a decision of the MLNMC administration, practical classes of MBBS first year students will start on the college premises from Monday.

The medical college administration has started preparing to resume classes. All norms of tackling the corona crisis will be followed. According to vice-principal VK Pandey, MBBS has 200 seats in the first year and given the corona crisis, only batches of 20 students will be permitted to come to the campus each day. Students will be familiarised with the Coronavirus guidelines before classes begin.

“As we were not able to conduct practical classes because of the pandemic, even though the theory classes were continuing online, this decision has been taken”, said Pandey.

“The college administration is waiting for instructions from higher authorities regarding starting classes of senior students too and we will abide by that decision,” he added.

He also added that if any student has a problem or shows any symptoms of coronavirus, the college will immediately get him/her tested.

College principal SP Singh said that all students have been asked to download the Arogya Setu App. Moreover, students will also be asked to follow social distancing norms in the examination hall, hostels and academic blocks. “It is very important to download the Arogya Setu App onto mobile phones. Before joining class, it will be mandatory to bring the consent letter of parents too. There will be a system of thermal scanning at the entrance as well,” said the principal.
