UP plans to generate over 50 lakh jobs by March 2021
The Uttar Pradesh government aims to generate jobs for over 50 lakh youths in the state between November 2020 and March 2021 under “Mission Rojgar” campaign that will be launched post-Diwali.
“Under the campaign, a programme will be organised to create more employment and self-employment jobs in various departments, organisations, voluntary organisations, corporations, councils, boards and various local bodies of the state government,” said chief secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari on Wednesday after finalising the action plan with officials.
With the help of government efforts, many new opportunities for private sectors will also be created.
The campaign will be conducted through Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner (IIDC) and a high-level committee headed by chief secretary will monitor it monthly.
In every district, there will be a committee under the chairmanship of district magistrate who will prepare an action plan
the district level for jobs and careers.
Helpdesk in every office An employment helpdesk will be created in every department and organisation. It will inform the youth of the benefit of employment programmes related to the respective department.
Database will be made ready A database of employment will be prepared for which an app and a web portal are also being developed by the Directorate of Training and Employment. Data related to employment will be updated on the portal every fortnight. Under the administrative departments, all the directorates, corporations, boards and commissions etc will nominate a nodal officer for effective monitoring.
