16 district police chiefs among 43 IPS officers transferred

LUCKNOW : In a major reshuffle, the state government on Tuesday transferred 43 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including police chiefs of 16 districts, said a home department official.

LUCKNOW : In a major reshuffle, the state government on Tuesday transferred 43 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including police chiefs of 16 districts, said a home department official.

The list included 2010 batch IPS officer Amrendra Prasad Singh, who was shifted as SP Sonbhadra from his present posting as SP Kannauj. Others in the list are 2011 batch IPS officer Hemant Kutiyal, who was posted as SP Chanduali for over one year, has been made new SP Balrampur while his batchmate Ajai Kumar has been shifted to SP Firozabad from Mainpuri where was posted in the same capacity. Similarly, SP Amroha Vipin Tanda has been shifted to Balia in the same capacity.

SP Auraiya Suniti has been shifted as SP Amroha and SP Fatehpur Prashant Verma as SP Kannauj.

Lucknow police commissionerate got two new deputy commissioners of police (DCP) and one additional DCP. The list included 2014 batch IPS officer Sanjeev Suman and 2015 batch officer Ravi Kumar as DCP Lucknow and 2017 batch officer Qasim Abidi as ADCP Lucknow.

2015 batch officer Abhishek was posted as DCP Gautambuddhnagar police commissionerate.

Ten IPS officers of 2015 batch have been given charge of district police chiefs for the first time. It included Chakresh Mishra who was sent as SP Sambhal, Sukriti Madhav as SP Shamli, Kaustubh as SP Sant Kabir Nagar, Aparna Gautam as SP Auraiya, Avinash Pandey as SP Mainpuri, Neeraj Jadaun as SP Hapur, Amit Kumar-II as SP Chandauli, Pramod Kumar as SP Lalitpur, Ashok Kumar Meena as SP Fatehgarh and Satpal as SP Fatehpur.

Besides 11 IPS officers of 2016 and 2017 were shifted to different districts as additional SPs while remaining 12 IPS officers were shifted within different wings of police department.
