CM gives Rs 10,390 cr loan to MSMEs

LUCKNOW: : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday distribute­d Rs 10,390 crore loan to 3.54 lakh MSME units across the state.

At an event organised virtually, Adityanath distribute­d Rs 10 crore loan while rest of the amount was distribute­d in districts across the state.

Around 3,54,825 MSME units were handed over total loan of Rs 10,390 crore. This included loan of Rs 1,316 crore to 29,914 new units.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said, “Small scale industries form the basis of a powerful state and the state government’s efforts to accelerate industrial developmen­t is going to bring prosperity in everyone’s life.”

“More than four lakh MSME units were given loan of Rs 10,999 crore after the PM launched the `Atmanirbha­r Uttar Pradesh Rojgaar Abhiyaan’ on June 26,” the CM said.

In addition to this, over 2.50 lakh MSME units were also given loan of Rs 7,841 crore in the third phase, he added.

“When Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the first economic package during the lockdown on May 14 (this year) on the next day state government provided a loan of Rs 2002 crore to 56,754 new MSME units under the online self -employment programme,” said the CM.

In addition, the MSME ‘Saathi’ portal and App were also launched to solve the problems of MSMEs, added the CM.

On the occasion, the CM also virtually distribute­d advanced tool kits related to handlooms, handicraft­s, textiles, metal crafts, food processing, and pottery to around 5000 beneficiar­ies.
