48 RPF women constables complete training, to join force
PRAYAGRAJ: The passing out parade of 248 woman constable recruits of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) was organised at the RPF Zonal Training Centre, Subedarganj, on Monday. This is the second batch of this zonal centre and its first allwomen’s batch.
RPF additional director general Anoop Shrivastava inspected the parade and took the salute. Of the total of 248 woman constable recruits, 19 are of North Central Railway (NCR), 59 of Central Railway (CR), 97 of Northern Railway (NR), two of North Eastern Railway (NER), 22 of North Western Railway (NWR), 47 of Western Railway (WR) and three of West Central Railway (WCR) who successfully completed nine months of rigorous training before formally becoming part of the RPF. All 248 trainees were also sworn-in on the occasion.
The commander of the parade was Anita Ola who led the passing out trainees in eight platoons. Platoon-1 was commanded by trainee Mohini Yadav, platoon-2 by Sonia, platoon-3 by Khushboo, platoon-4 by Suman Kuntal, platoon-5 by K Nirmala, platoon-6 by Madhu Kumari, platoon-7 by Seema Bandewar and platoon-8 by Chinu Nagar.
During the function, the ADG also honoured trainees Nirmala,
Sangeeta Natwaria, Priyanka Rana and Anita Ola for their outstanding performance during the training.
Addressing the woman constables, the ADG congratulated all trainees as well as officials of RPF Zonal Training Centre Subedarganj for successfully conducting the training programme despite the Covid-19 challenges. He also said that the formal induction of these women RPF personnel in the protection force will strengthen security arrangements and women passengers will get a more secure travel environment.
Srivastava wished a successful future to all RPF recruits and motivated them to discharge their responsibilities sincerely.
NCR principal chief safety commissioner Ravindra Verma, Prayagraj divisional railway manager Mohit Chandra, principal heads of departments of NCR, principal of Subedarganj RPF Zonal Training Centre Sanjay Pise and other officials were also present at this passing out function.
The programme was conducted by RPF inspector Suruchi Sharma and inspector Anil Dubey.
