CAC aerospace safety council holds annual meet at Prayagraj
PRAYAGRAJ: The Central Air Command (CAC) annual aerospace safety council meeting for this year was held at CAC, Bamrauli, in Prayagraj via video conferencing on Thursday.
The meeting was chaired by Air Marshal Rajesh Kumar, air officer commanding-in-chief, CAC, said Wing Commander Shailendra Pandey, PRO (Defense) Prayagraj here on Friday.
Air Marshal Manavendra Singh, director general (inspection and safety) from Air Headquarters also participated in the meeting that was attended by Air Force personnel from all stations under the area of responsibility of CAC, he added.
Annual aerospace safety council meeting plays a crucial role in identifying causes for incidents and accidents and putting in place timely corrective actions to protect IAF’s assets and valuable lives.
During the council meeting, aspects pertaining to safe flying operations were brought into discussion.
Accidents and incidents caused due various reasons and issues related to aviation and maintenance safety were also discussed in detail during the meeting.
The director general (inspection and safety) expressed satisfaction over the measures being taken by the CAC in maintaining good aerospace safety record.
The meeting concluded with the address by the chairman, Air Marshal Rajesh Kumar who highlighted the importance of contribution of each and every individual involved with flying in ensuring aerospace safety, thereby not only preserving country’s assets and human live, but also helping in maintaining a combat edge over adversaries in time of conflict.
