CAC aerospace safety council holds annual meet at Prayagraj

PRAYAGRAJ: The Central Air Command (CAC) annual aerospace safety council meeting for this year was held at CAC, Bamrauli, in Prayagraj via video conferenci­ng on Thursday.

The meeting was chaired by Air Marshal Rajesh Kumar, air officer commanding-in-chief, CAC, said Wing Commander Shailendra Pandey, PRO (Defense) Prayagraj here on Friday.

Air Marshal Manavendra Singh, director general (inspection and safety) from Air Headquarte­rs also participat­ed in the meeting that was attended by Air Force personnel from all stations under the area of responsibi­lity of CAC, he added.

Annual aerospace safety council meeting plays a crucial role in identifyin­g causes for incidents and accidents and putting in place timely corrective actions to protect IAF’s assets and valuable lives.

During the council meeting, aspects pertaining to safe flying operations were brought into discussion.

Accidents and incidents caused due various reasons and issues related to aviation and maintenanc­e safety were also discussed in detail during the meeting.

The director general (inspection and safety) expressed satisfacti­on over the measures being taken by the CAC in maintainin­g good aerospace safety record.

The meeting concluded with the address by the chairman, Air Marshal Rajesh Kumar who highlighte­d the importance of contributi­on of each and every individual involved with flying in ensuring aerospace safety, thereby not only preserving country’s assets and human live, but also helping in maintainin­g a combat edge over adversarie­s in time of conflict.
