Lookout notice issued against former SP

PRAYAGRAJ : A lookout notice has been issued, on Monday, against the absconding IPS Manilal Patidar, accused of abetment to the suicide of a trader in Mahoba while he was the district police chief there.

The forensic team on Sunday also recreated the crime scene to get clues about the high-profile case.

The investigat­ion team forwarded its report to senior officials following which a lookout notice has been issued against former Mahoba SP Manilal Patidar.

After the issuing of lookout notice, it will not be possible for Patidar to leave the country. His property will also be attached if he fails to surrender. The investigat­ions into Manilal Patidar had been handed over to Prayagraj SP Crime Ashutosh Mishra who is assisted by STF and a team of Mahoba police.

A team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) -Jhansi on Saturday and Sunday re-enacted the crime scene and carried out a minute examinatio­n of crusher trader Indrakant Tripathi’s car in which his body was found.

The team created the exact circumstan­ces to observe as to how the bullet was fired which claimed the trader’s life. The Forensic team has instructed for the re-examinatio­n of trader’s clothes, seat cover and the bullet.

SP (Crime) Ashutosh Mishra said the articles will be sent to Agra FSL for examinatio­n. The report will be included in the investigat­ions.

Police teams are carrying out continuous raids and keeping an eye on persons close to former SP in a bid to trace and arrest him, he added.

It is worth mentioning that a reward of Rs 50,000 has been declared on suspended IPS Manilal Patidar who is accused of provoking crusher trader Indrakant Tripathi to commit suicide and his involvemen­t in corruption.
