Online provisions for new colleges to get univ affiliation in state
LUCKNOW: The state higher education department on Wednesday announced that online provisions had been made for new colleges to secure university affiliation and for existing colleges to get no objection certificates (NOCs) for starting new courses.
The government officials claimed that the process to establish new minority educational institutions had also been simplified and made transparent.
Now applications for the same can be sent to the department’s online portal along with complete documents. The verification of documents and inspection related to availability of land will also be submitted online. Thereafter, the affiliating university will provide a no objection certificate.
Additional chief secretary, higher education, Monika S Garg said, “The department has made a timeframe for online disposal of NOC and affiliation proposals.
In view of the pandemic, the last date to apply for new courses for session 2021-22 is December 31 and the last date for submission of online application for affiliation with the university is April 15, 2021.”
She said for academic session 2022-23 and thereafter, affiliation by the university will be done in two rounds.
The last date for application for first round of new courses will be October 31 and for affiliation February 28. “For the second round, the dates for new courses and affiliation are December 31 and April 15 respectively,” she added.
