26 PRAYAGRAJ STUDENTS SELECTED FOR INSPIRE STATE LEVEL CONTEST

PRAYAGRAJ: As many as 26 students from various schools of Prayagraj have found place in the district level list of meritoriou­s students selected under Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) released by the department of science and technology (DST).

A total of 1641 meritoriou­s students have been selected across Uttar Pradesh.

According to the list released by assistant district inspectors of schools (ADIoS), BS Yadav among the students who have qualified include three students from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jhalwa who have been selected to compete with their counterpar­ts at the state level contest now. “It’s an honour for me and the school that our three students, Rakshak Pandey (class 9), Shraddha (class 7) and Ruchira Singh (class 10) has been selected,” said principal of KV IIIT-Allahabad, Vijeyesh Pandey. Besides, one student each from Government Girls Inter College (GGIC), Mary Wanamaker Girls Inter College and two from Radharaman Girls Higher Secondary School are also on the list of selected students.

Likewise, one student each from Sri Narayan Ashram Balik Inter College, Mehboob Ali Inter College, Crosthwait­e Girls Inter College, Kendriya VidyalayaN­aini, Kendriya Vidyalaya-Bamrauli and CAV Inter College has been selected for the award.

At the same time, two students from Maha Prabhu Public School, two students from St Anthony Convent Girls Inter College have also been selected. One student from Handia has also been ranked in the list besides three students of Government Abhinav Vidyalaya Dandupur of Karchhana developmen­t block, three students from Madan Mohan Malaviya Inter College and one from Lal Bahadur Shastri Inter College have also been selected from the same developmen­t block. Students of Phulpur’s Higher Primary SchoolBeru­i are also among the selected. All students will be given an amount of Rs 10,000 as a prize. With this amount, the students will now prepare the model and make their claim at the state level competitio­n.But now it is expected that the process of selection of meritoriou­s at the state level could be not be held on online mode for the selection of participan­ts.
