Now, brace for rain, thunderstorms
LUCKNOW: Lucknowites will experience rain/thunderstorm in some places of the state capital and adjoining areas with the maximum and minimum temperatures hovering around 26 and 9 degrees Celsius, respectively, in the next 2-3 days.
The Met department has issued a warning of thunderstorm accompanied by lightening at isolated places over Eastern Uttar Pradesh and thunderstorm with lightening hailstorm at isolated places over Western UP, said Met director JP Gupta, here on Saturday.
He said that there’s a possibility of rain in many districts across Uttar Pradesh due to meteorological conditions like Western Disturbances that resulted in cyclonic circulation over Afghanistan and adjoining central Pakistan.
The induced cyclonic circulation over southwest Rajasthan and the neighbourhood persists that will result in rain.
Light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning are very likely in Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Farrukhabad, Kannuaj, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Hardoi, Sitapur, Lucknow and adjoining areas in the next 2-3 days, the weatherman said.
The Met department has predicted shallow to moderate fog in the morning at isolated places over Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Temperatures in other districts of the state also went up a little on Saturday. Faizabad recorded a minimum temperature of 3.5 degrees Celsius, Bareilly and Fatehgarh 3.7, Barabanki 4, Etawah and Shahjahanpur 4.2, Banda 5, Meerut 5.5, Kanpur 6.4, Varanasi 7.3 and Prayagraj 9 degrees Celsius.
