‘Rahul, Akhilesh change colours like chameleons’
PRAYAGRAJ : Deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Saturday attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav dubbing them chameleons who change colours according to the weather.
Maurya said Rahul Gandhi had never visited any temple during 10 years of UPA government but now he is at temples in a desperate bid to return to power. Similarly, Akhilesh Yadav had also gone to Kamatanath at Chitrakoot dham recently, he said. Maurya was addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone of Salori railway over bridge (ROB).
“The BJP has never stopped these leaders from going to temples. It is good thing to have faith in God. We want leaders of other parties to visit the Ram temple at Ayodhya also, see it and make donations,” he added.
Taking a dig at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, he said to question the Covid vaccine was an insult to the scientists and doctors of the country. “The country will not tolerate this. Akhilesh Yadav will get the vaccine in 2022 (in UP assembly polls) at the hands of voters,” he added.
He added that construction of the ROB would be completed by December this year. An amount of Rs 52 crore would be spent on the construction of this ROB which is paid by the state government.
The deputy chief minister said the Bakshi Band ROB will be inaugurated in January 2022. On the initiative of MP Keshari Devi Patel and MLA Harshvardhan Bajpai, he also announced the construction of a bridge over river Ganga to connect Heta Patti.
