Starting for you soon: Hussainabad light and sound show
LUCKNOW : The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is set to start a 3d projection-mapping and light and sound show at Hussainabad. LDA officials said that the project will be a perfect amalgamation of technology and history, which will leave people in awe.
This would be the second light and sound show to be held in the city after the one at the Residency. Officials and technicians involved in the one-of-itskind project that would be the first in Uttar Pradesh, said that the entire project will cover the entire Hussainabad that includes the heritage structure Satkhanda and Hussainabad pond.
“The project has been divided into two parts—part one comprises projection-mapping and part two is the musical fountain,” explained LDA technician Murari Kumar, who is manning the grand musical fountain installed in the Hussainabad pond. While highlighting part two of the project first, Kumar said that the musical fountain will work on the beats and light of the song played in the background. The other part of the project that is 3D projection-mapping, he said would give an ‘out of this world’ experience to audiences and passers-by in the Old City area.
“A short film based on the city’s rich heritage and its history that has been shot through 3D projection-mapping technique, supported by powerful sound will be screened, using Satkhanda as canvas,” he said.
The 12-minute film has been shot as per Satkhanda’s architecture. Presently, he said, the mapping is in practice at Purana Qila, Delhi, Gateway of India and a couple of other cities in the country, officials with the LDA said.

LDA official BP Singh, who is in-charge of the Hussainabad project, said that trials of the light and sound show went successfully. “The show will start within a week or so,” said Singh.
THIS WOULD BE THE SECOND LIGHT AND SOUND SHOW TO BE HELD IN THE CITY AFTER THE ONE AT THE RESIDENCY.
