₹ 50 MILLION DONATED IN CAMP AT RAJA BHAIYYA’S HOUSE
PRAYAGRAJ : Heavy crowd turned up to donate for Ram temple construction at Ayodhya at a camp organised at Benti Kothi of Raghuraj Pratap Singh aka Raja Bhaiyya in Kunda of Pratapgarh district on Saturday.
In the presence of the general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust Champat Rai, people donated with an open heart.
President of Jansatta Dal Loktantrik, Raja Bhaiyya himself donated a huge amount in the ‘Samarpan Nidhi’. However, he did not disclose the exact amount contributed by him.
Under the leadership of Raja Bhaiyya and VHP national vicepresident Champat Rai, the programme for cash collection started at Benti Kothi early in the morning. Five counters were set up for the collection of funds.
The first donation which included cash and ornaments was made by Raja Bhaiyya following which large crowd of his followers, party workers, village heads and others rushed forward to donate funds for Ram Temple construction. Besides, teachers, traders and panchayat office-bearers also reached Benti Kothi for donating funds.
MLC Akshay Pratap Singh who monitored the fund collection claimed that Rs 50 million (Rs 5 crore) were donated by people. It is also reported that receipts ended at 11 am and more were brought from Prayagraj.
Presenting an example of religious unity, Manikpur Nagar Panchayat Chairman Abu Zaid Guddu also presented a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to Champat Rai for construction of Ram Temple.
A large number of VHP leaders and office bearers of Jansatta Dal were present on the occasion.
